Talk about needing to calm down.
One Taylor Swift fan got the surprise of a lifetime when her favorite pop star surprised her with money for her college tuition.
Ayesha Khurram, a self-described longtime Swift fan who previously met the pop star on her "Reputation" tour, shared a screenshot Monday of a donation she received for $4,829.45 ($6,386.47 in Canadian dollars).
The party responsible? Taylor Nation, LLC, the organization that helps Swift handle merchandise and meet and greets. "Ayesha, get your learn on girl. I love you! Taylor" the comment read.
"i posted about struggling with paying for tuition. two hours later, i get this in my email," Khurram wrote on Instagram. "i have no words and i canít stop crying. i donít have words i donít have words i donít have words i canít stop crying"
Khurram also chronicled the events on Tumblr, where Swift is known to interact with her fans. The pop star responded by "liking" Khurram's screenshot of the payment.
USA TODAY has reached out to Swift's representative for more information.
In a series of posts, Khurram wrote that her parents both work minimum wage jobs and a stressful financial situation led her to wonder if she would have to drop out of school.
"I just know this means so much to my parents," she wrote. "Taylor Swift took that stress from my parents, my world, and i have never seen them cry/laugh the way they are right now. she has made my family happy through music for years and now through something we could never, ever have imagined or hoped for. i truly do not have the words and i will never, ever be able to repay her for the love and kindness she has shown me right now."
