Pakistan Army inducts Chinese-made mobile air defence system

Pakistan Army has inducted Low to Medium Altitude Air Defence System (LOMADS) to its air defence fleet, aiming to further boost the response capability of the country, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Sunday.

“LY-80 is a Chinese mobile air defence system, capable of tracking and destroying variety of aerial targets at longer ranges flying at low and medium altitude,” read the communique.

The induction ceremony was held at Army Auditorium where Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa was present as the chief guest.
