Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds died just one day apart. Now they will be honored together at a private memorial service on Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter said on Tuesday.
“The memorial event will be for family and close friends only,” reported THR, citing an unnammed source.
“I’m not sure what they’re calling it — a funeral or a wake — but it will be Thursday at the house,” the source told THR. Fisher and Reynolds lived next door to each other in Beverly Hills in the Coldwater Canyon neighborhood, according to MansionGlobal.com.
“It will be exactly what they both wanted, to be together,” the source said.
“The family is understood to be discussing a public memorial, although plans are yet to be announced,” Sky News reported on Wednesday.
Shortly after her passing, fans of Fisher expressed their grief by setting up a makeshift memorial on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the “Star Wars” heroine does not, yet, have her own star.
